Meet alex RODRIGUEZ-VDR Rottweiler Breeder

Our Breeding Program

Alex with VDR Rottweilers has over 20 years experience that includes going to Germany, working top dogs, and improving the breed as a handler, breeder, and decoy. Alex is the only breeder in the USA licensed as a decoy in Germany under the ADRK. Our breeding program is created to produce Rottweilers that are healthy, socialized, great temperament, and held to a high standard. Rottweilers are a working breed and we do interviews with each family to help decide which puppy will fit their needs.

Our Facilities

Our facilities are located on over 3 acres right outside Nashville, Tennessee. We have indoor/outdoor kennels with temperature control, high pressure cleaning done daily, and a large bath tub located inside the building. There is also a separate whelping house, which is also temperature controlled, with a large indoor/outdoor area for mother and puppies to socialize and grow. The play area is an acre fenced in with trees for shade and great for the dogs to run around and exercise.

Our Philosophy

We believe that owning and working with Rottweilers is truly understanding the breed. We do not just import and breed. We work, show, and are always learning to make it better. Thriving to experience Rottweilers first hand and in person to evaluate their temperaments, characteristics, and working abilities.

HEALTH: You certify that your breeding stock is health tested in accordance with the recommendations of their breed’s AKC Breed Parent Club. Visit our Health Testing Requirements page to see the requirements for your breed(s).
EDUCATION: Promising that you will pursue AKC-provided or AKC-approved continuing breeder education so that you stay educated on the best breeding practices, including advances in canine health.
ACCOUNTABILITY: Agreeing to comply with the AKC Care and Conditions Policy, including inspections by the AKC, and promising to share health testing and continuing education documentation with AKC.
RESPONSIBILITY: Accepting responsibility for the health and well-being of the puppies you produce and for complying with all laws regarding the ownership and maintenance of dogs.
TRADITION: Upholding the AKC’s tradition of breeding purebred dogs that are happy and healthy.
